Jesus in Luke 17: 11:
“And Jesus answered and said unto them, Elijah truly shall first come, and restore all things.” (NIV)
Elijah, prophet of the Lord God, lived in a time somewhat like our own. The people were not worshiping God. Most were worshiping the God of Babylon, Baal. Baal had altars throughout Israel. Jezebel was the king’s wife and she was a Baal worshiper. Baal worship promotes (not promoted … promotes) unrestrained immoral sexual conduct as defined by God in Leviticus 18.
The sexual immorality rose an orgy when babies were placed alive on the red hot arms of the statue of this demonic image.
All of that promoted then, and promoted now, is sin per Holy God not merely prejudice of righteous people like Paul the apostle. In Acts 15 we find the instructions given to Gentiles by the gathered apostles. The letter there is written by James. Acts 15:
“The apostles and elders, your brothers,
To the Gentile believers in Antioch, Syria and Cilicia:
Greetings.
24 We have heard that some went out from us without our authorization and disturbed you, troubling your minds by what they said. 25 So we all agreed to choose some men and send them to you with our dear friends Barnabas and Paul— 26 men who have risked their lives for the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. 27 Therefore we are sending Judas and Silas to confirm by word of mouth what we are writing. 28 It seemed good to the Holy Spirit and to us not to burden you with anything beyond the following requirements: 29 You are to abstain from food sacrificed to idols, from blood, from the meat of strangled animals and from sexual immorality. You will do well to avoid these things.
Farewell.” (NIV)
That describes exactly what we witness in our day with 1.8 billion abortions to date in the world, millions of abortions in the US since Roe v Wade in 1973. I saw where 924 of these involved potential health risk to the mothers.
Jezebel would approve. The Spirit behind this resurgence of Baal/Jezebel like holocaust is Satan. The enlightened ones as they call themselves i.e. the Illuminati are in the mix with perversion of education, government and business interests as well appealing to the very bloodthirsty and unrestrained perverted sexual drives which drove the Nazis and the Shintoites most recently ISIS.
Legislatures passing laws to allow the murder of babies which by the way are now a commodity also the organs of infants selling for tens of thousands of dollars.
All of this hearkens back to Babel and the first attempt at worldwide domination by Nimrod whose idol was Marduk also in the vein of Baal.
For thousands of years the devil has planned world domination now with Illuminati openly declaring him as the one who gave the world true light in spiritual enlightenment making men like God.
Psalm 2 explains God’s awareness and his response:
Why do the nations conspire
and the peoples plot in vain?
2 The kings of the earth rise up
and the rulers band together
against the Lord and against his anointed, saying,
3 “Let us break their chains
and throw off their shackles.”
4 The One enthroned in heaven laughs;
the Lord scoffs at them.
5 He rebukes them in his anger
and terrifies them in his wrath, saying,
6 “I have installed my king
on Zion, my holy mountain.”
7 I will proclaim the Lord’s decree:
He said to me, “You are my son;
today I have become your father.
8 Ask me,
and I will make the nations your inheritance,
the ends of the earth your possession.
9 You will break them with a rod of iron;
you will dash them to pieces like pottery.”
Paul addresses this situation just as Elijah was betrayed by Jezebel and Ahab, the Illuminati, now by many names and worldwide organizations have power, so they believe. God has given those who do not love the truth over to powerful delusion so they believe the lie. Those believe the enemy is powerful to have a world apart from God. They will have it for one week of Daniel. Seven years. The devil knows this and as Revelation reveals he knows his time is short. Romans 11: 2-20:
“Don’t you know what Scripture says in the passage about Elijah—how he appealed to God against Israel: 3 “Lord, they have killed your prophets and torn down your altars; I am the only one left, and they are trying to kill me”?4 And what was God’s answer to him? “I have reserved for myself seven thousand who have not bowed the knee to Baal.” 5 So too, at the present time there is a remnant chosen by grace. 6 And if by grace, then it cannot be based on works; if it were, grace would no longer be grace.
7 What then? What the people of Israel sought so earnestly they did not obtain. The elect among them did, but the others were hardened, 8 as it is written:
“God gave them a spirit of stupor,
eyes that could not see
and ears that could not hear,
to this very day.”
9 And David says:
“May their table become a snare and a trap,
a stumbling block and a retribution for them.
10 May their eyes be darkened so they cannot see,
and their backs be bent forever.”
Ingrafted Branches
11 Again I ask: Did they stumble so as to fall beyond recovery? Not at all!Rather, because of their transgression, salvation has come to the Gentiles to make Israel envious. 12 But if their transgression means riches for the world, and their loss means riches for the Gentiles, how much greater riches will their full inclusion bring!
13 I am talking to you Gentiles. Inasmuch as I am the apostle to the Gentiles, I take pride in my ministry 14 in the hope that I may somehow arouse my own people to envy and save some of them. 15 For if their rejection brought reconciliation to the world, what will their acceptance be but life from the dead? 16 If the part of the dough offered as first fruits is holy, then the whole batch is holy; if the root is holy, so are the branches.
17 If some of the branches have been broken off, and you, though a wild olive shoot, have been grafted in among the others and now share in the nourishing sap from the olive root, 18 do not consider yourself to be superior to those other branches. If you do, consider this: You do not support the root, but the root supports you. 19 You will say then, “Branches were broken off so that I could be grafted in.” 20 Granted. But they were broken off because of unbelief, and you stand by faith.” (NIV)
We expose the fruitless deeds of darkness. John the Baptist, i.e. Elijah, said of Jesus, to those who chose the devil over God, in Jerusalem, said:
John 3:
“The one who comes from above is above all; the one who is from the earth belongs to the earth, and speaks as one from the earth. The one who comes from heaven is above all. 32 He testifies to what he has seen and heard, but no one accepts his testimony. 33 Whoever has accepted it has certified that God is truthful. 34 For the one whom God has sentspeaks the words of God, for God[i] gives the Spirit without limit. 35 The Father loves the Son and has placed everything in his hands. 36 Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life, but whoever rejects the Son will not see life, for God’s wrath remains on them.” (NIV)
