Yesterday I was once again subjected to persecution for sharing the (Review it here) “gospel of grace through faith” taught by Paul in black and white on the page. The argument rages between the redeemed (have received God’s gift of the Spirit of truth through rebirth by faith in Jesus’ redemption by the cross) and the “LOST who hold to the law.”
Paul defines it (witchcraft) and he is the Teacher Jesus sent to Gentiles, obey Jesus (in Red Letters, for you red letter fans, here from KJV to humor foolishness) at Acts 9: 15:
“But the Lord told him, [Ananias] Go for he is my choice instrument to carry My name before Gentiles and kings and the people of Israel. 16 For I will show him how much he will have to suffer on behalf of my name.” (KJV, though not the 1611 original. LOL)
Here it is established by Jesus he sent Paul. Jesus did not send himself to Gentiles as he states in Matthew 10:
“These twelve Jesus sent forth, and commanded them, saying, Go not into the way of the Gentiles, and into any city of the Samaritans enter ye not: 6 But go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel. 7 And as ye go, preach, saying, The kingdom of heaven is at hand. 8Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give.” (KJV)
Hear Jesus: “Go not into the way of the Gentiles … . But go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.”
Jesus did not send himself to Gentiles. Forming theology from his words was never his intent, for the information of the Seminarilly confused.
Don’t take my word for it, take Jesus’ word for it:
Matthew 15: 22-28:
“And, behold, a woman of Canaan came out of the same coasts, and cried unto him, saying, Have mercy on me, O Lord, thou Son of David; my daughter is grievously vexed with a devil.
23 But he answered her not a word. And his disciples came and besought him, saying, Send her away; for she crieth after us.
24 But he answered and said, “I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel.”
25 Then came she and worshipped him, saying, Lord, help me.
26 But he answered and said, “It is not meet to take the children’s bread, and to cast it to dogs.”
27 And she said, Truth, Lord: yet the dogs eat of the crumbs which fall from their masters’ table.
28 Then Jesus answered and said unto her, “O woman, great is thy faith: be it unto thee even as thou wilt. And her daughter was made whole from that very hour.” (KJV)
So are we going to begin to listen to Jesus who told us to listen to Paul?
So what did the “chosen instrument of God”, “Paul”, thereby Jesus, teach about witchcraft? It is surprising! Galatians 3: 1-14:
“O foolish Galatians, who hath bewitched you, that ye should not obey the truth, before whose eyes Jesus Christ hath been evidently set forth, crucified among you?
2 This only would I learn of you, Received ye the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?
3 Are ye so foolish? having begun in the Spirit, are ye now made perfect by the flesh?
4 Have ye suffered so many things in vain? if it be yet in vain.
5 He therefore that ministereth to you the Spirit, and worketh miracles among you, doeth he it by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?
6 Even as Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness.
7 Know ye therefore that they which are of faith, the same are the children of Abraham.
8 And the scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the heathen through faith, preached before the gospel unto Abraham, saying, In thee shall all nations be blessed.
9 So then they which be of faith are blessed with faithful Abraham.
10 For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse: for it is written, Cursed is every one that continueth not in all things which are written in the book of the law to do them.
11 But that no man is justified by the law in the sight of God, it is evident: for, The just shall live by faith.
12 And the law is not of faith: but, The man that doeth them shall live in them.
13 Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree:
14 That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.” (KJV)
More from Jesus to Gentiles from Paul instructing his protege’ Timothy:
I Timothy 1: 5-7:
“Now the end of the commandment is charity out of a pure heart, and of a good conscience, and of faith unfeigned: 6 From which some having swerved have turned aside unto vain jangling; 7 Desiring to be teachers of the law; understanding neither what they say, nor whereof they affirm.” (NIV)
Now that we have humored (humoredthed???) those who actually believe God waited 1611 years after the death, resurrection, and glorification of Jesus to give us the “real” scriptures, in 400 years old, British English, and made it a sin for anyone to translate it into modern American English, so modern men women and children might be able to understand it, let’s look at it in our tongue, at the risk of being labeled a heretic: 1 Timithy 1: 5-7:
“The goal of this command is love, which comes from a pure heart and a good conscience and a sincere faith.6 Some have departed from these and have turned to meaningless talk.7 They want to be teachers of the law, but they do not know what they are talking about or what they so confidently affirm.” (NIV)
Rhetorical: Can a person have a “pure heart” and a “good conscience” and a sincere faith” accomplishing the goal of this “COMMAND” if they are involved of the sins of the flesh? How about the law of the flesh? NOPE! Galatians 5: 1-5:
“Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage. 2 Behold, I Paul say unto you, that if ye be circumcised, Christ shall profit you nothing. 3 For I testify again to every man that is circumcised, that he is a debtor to do the whole law. 4 Christ is become of no effect unto you, whosoever of you are justified by the law; ye are fallen from grace. 5 For we through the Spirit wait for the hope of righteousness by faith.” (KJV)
Galatians 5: 4:
“You who are trying to be justified by the law have been alienated from Christ; you have fallen away from grace. 5 For through the Spirit we eagerly await by faith the righteousness for which we hope.” (NIV)
“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law. 24 Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. 25 Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit.” (NIV)
Or ignoreth Jesus and Paul and continueth in the laweth by whicheth youeth canst in no way pleaseth the Lord by producing fruit of the Spirit. But continuing in the law, shows complete ignorance of what the Bible says.
