My Utmost For His Highest

Saw a post first thing today featuring a fantasy from the broad road that leads to destruction, enter by the narrow gate:  Some Pompous early 1900’s preacher said:  Sinners must start with righteousness, not love.  I replied:

A sinner in the pulpit is a sinner still, in spite of his self deception. A sinner must be born again

“Jesus replied, “Very truly I tell you, no one can see the kingdom of God unless they are born again.”

“How can someone be born when they are old?” Nicodemus asked. “Surely they cannot enter a second time into their mother’s womb to be born!”

Jesus answered, “Very truly I tell you, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless they are born of water and the Spirit. Flesh gives birth to flesh, but the Spirit gives birth to spirit. You should not be surprised at my saying, ‘You must be born again.’ The wind blows wherever it pleases. You hear its sound, but you cannot tell where it comes from or where it is going. So it is with everyone born of the Spirit.” (NIV)

Then he, The sinner must walk according to the Spirit

“I have much more to say to you, more than you can now bear. 13 But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all the truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come. 14 He will glorify me because it is from me that he will receive what he will make known to you. 15 All that belongs to the Father is mine. That is why I said the Spirit will receive from me what he will make known to you.” (NIV)

And from the moment he believes he is already sanctified per Jesus himself  John 17: 19:

“For them I sanctify myself, that they too may be truly sanctified.”

The verbs in Greek alternatively masculine [Jesus did it] and feminine Believers receive it].  Jesus dug a hole called sanctification (Means set aside for a Holy Purpose) and those who believe based on the testimony of the apostles, fall into that hole.  All who believe Jesus prayed there.  Does the Father answer the prayers of the Son?

All this Repent nonsense is based on mis-translation and migration of the Greek word metanoia (Means change your mind/aftermind) but was translated into Latin as DO PENANCE then Repent which in the modern mind no longer contains the idea Jesus spoke in Mark 1: 15:

“The time has come,” he said. “The kingdom of God has come near. Repent and believe the good news!” (NIV)

The problem with religion: The free gift of God has been re-framed as something you earn, NOT SO!  Ephesians 2: 6-10:

“And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus, in order that in the coming ages he might show the incomparable riches of his grace, expressed in his kindness to us in Christ Jesus. For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— not by works, so that no one can boast. 10 For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.” (NIV)

And those who believe they’ve earned [So they boast] it also believe they can unearn it. You cannot Unearn what you did not earn to begin with.

Jesus in John 5: 24:

“Very truly I tell you, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life and will not be judged but has crossed over from death to life.” (NIV)

Matthew 7: 13:

“Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. 14 But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.” (NIV)

Notice here, only a few find it.  The 10 commandments are posted all over the place, not hard to find.  Jesus came to give you life.  Not a rehash of Moses.  OR JESUS WAS A LIAR.  Thirty nine years later, I testify truthfully:  Jesus is no liar.

Those claiming they give their Utmost for his Highest are struggling to find the narrow gate.
