Serving One Another

Being children of the light, we see the day approaching.  Paul told us to be as those who are awake.  Jesus’ instructed us to keep watch.  Peter, in this regard, told us a big part of what it is we are to watch.   2 Peter 1:

His divine power has given us everything we need for a godly life through our knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness. Through these he has given us his very great and precious promises, so that through them you may participate in the divine nature, having escaped the corruption in the world caused by evil desires.

For this very reason, make every effort to add to your faith goodness; and to goodness, knowledge; and to knowledge, self-control; and to self-control, perseverance; and to perseverance, godliness; and to godliness, mutual affection; and to mutual affection, love. For if you possess these qualities in increasing measure, they will keep you from being ineffective and unproductive in your knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. But whoever does not have them is nearsighted and blind, forgetting that they have been cleansed from their past sins.

10 Therefore, my brothers and sisters, make every effort to confirm your calling and election. For if you do these things, you will never stumble, 11 and you will receive a rich welcome into the eternal kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

There is no law against this as Paul instructed at Galatians 5: 22.  He also told us those who are teaching the law so not know what they are talking about.  I Timoth 1: 7.  The walk in the Spirit of life is joyous.  Joy is contageous.  Desire to be a raging contagion here in this world under the duress of the servants of that man of lawlessness who will soon be revealed.  Jesus served them by sacrificing himself for the whole world.  We are at the “end of days.”  As Jesus told the Isaraelite Servants in Matthew and Martha in John 11: 23-26:

Jesus said to her, “Your brother will rise again.”

24 Martha answered, “I know he will rise again in the resurrection at the last day.”

25 Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die; 26 and whoever lives by believing in me will never die. Do you believe this?”

27 “Yes, Lord,” she replied, “I believe that you are the Messiah, the Son of God, who is to come into the world.”

Paul, apostle to the Gentiles tells us to encourage one another with these words which he received from Jesus.  Lord bless.  Chris Queen 3/28/2020.
