God Is My Comfort – May The God Of All Comfort …

Prophecy Is Comfort

The title comes from I Corinthians 1: 3-5 wherein the apostle to the Gentiles and Israel praises the Lord God who comforts us in all our afflictions.  As always, I want to see the word from a three faceted perspective.

I want to know what God prophesied in the law and the prophets.  I want to know Jesus fulfilled it.  I want to see it in Paul’s view.  In short prophesied, fulfilled and confirmed.

But there are other prophetic words that are not yet fulfilled.  In our day any who believe see and it does not matter even whether some do not believe they are in the end forced to admission.  “Every knee will bow and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.  Like it or not!  Jeremiah 23: 1-8:

“Woe to the shepherds who are destroying and scattering the sheep of my pasture!” declares the Lord. Therefore this is what the Lord, the God of Israel, says to the shepherds who tend my people: “Because you have scattered my flock and driven them away and have not bestowed care on them, I will bestow punishment on you for the evil you have done,” declares the Lord. “I myself will gather the remnant of my flock out of all the countries where I have driven them and will bring them back to their pasture, where they will be fruitful and increase in number. I will place shepherds over them who will tend them, and they will no longer be afraid or terrified, nor will any be missing,” declares the Lord.

“The days are coming,” declares the Lord,
“when I will raise up for David a righteous Branch,
a King who will reign wisely
and do what is just and right in the land.
In his days Judah will be saved
and Israel will live in safety.
This is the name by which he will be called:
    The Lord Our Righteous Savior.

“So then, the days are coming,” declares the Lord, “when people will no longer say, ‘As surely as the Lord lives, who brought the Israelites up out of Egypt,’ but they will say, ‘As surely as the Lord lives, who brought the descendants of Israel up out of the land of the north and out of all the countries where he had banished them.’ Then they will live in their own land.”

Hey, world, wake up and smell the coffee.  Where is Israel right now, in 2020?  Are they living in their own land?  This is a clear indication to you that you need to know what’s in the rest of what the prophets have said.

Hey, World are these Jews fruitful?  Are they afraid and terrified?  Think Not.

They Will Fail Again

One point two billion surround them with leaders spewing nonsense in the face of God Almighty claiming the Lord Our Righteous Savior is not the Lord.

It is written on the abomination built next door to the Temple of God, once stood, exactly where Jesus, Daniel and John said it would be. See my posts from June 7, 2020 thru June 19, 2020.

Exactly where Gabriel told John and Daniel and exactly where Jesus pointed himself because he is Almighty God and needs no angel to tell him.

Comforting His People In Their Afflictions

God also took care of these Jews for 2600 years through shepherds, as he said.  Some of these mistreated them.  Some recognized they were in need of comfort in their affliction and The Lord Our Righteous Savior is coming to judge the ones who mistreated Israel and the ones who comforted the Jews during their affliction.

One of these shepherds perpetrated the Holocaust with his and many nations.  One of these shepherds destroyed the Nazis, then recognized Israel as a nation just 11 minutes after independence was declared.

Another, Richard Nixon (no one is usually all bad) provided arms during the six day war at request from Golda Mayer, facilitating the liberation of Jerusalem.

After a series of sniveling cowards placating world opinion and making concessions for terrorists another shepherd recognized Jerusalem as the Capital of Israel.

Ezekiel 37: 9-23:

“Then he said to me, “Prophesy to the breath; prophesy, son of man, and say to it, ‘This is what the Sovereign Lord says: Come, breath, from the four winds and breathe into these slain, that they may live.’” 10 So I prophesied as he commanded me, and breath entered them; they came to life and stood up on their feet—a vast army.

11 Then he said to me: “Son of man, these bones are the people of Israel. They say, ‘Our bones are dried up and our hope is gone; we are cut off.’ 12 Therefore prophesy and say to them: ‘This is what the Sovereign Lord says: My people, I am going to open your graves and bring you up from them; I will bring you back to the land of Israel. 13 Then you, my people, will know that I am the Lord, when I open your graves and bring you up from them. 14 I will put my Spirit in you and you will live, and I will settle you in your own land. Then you will know that I the Lord have spoken, and I have done it, declares the Lord.’”

One Nation Under One King

15 The word of the Lord came to me: 16 “Son of man, take a stick of wood and write on it, ‘Belonging to Judah and the Israelites associated with him.’ Then take another stick of wood, and write on it, ‘Belonging to Joseph (that is, to Ephraim) and all the Israelites associated with him.’ 17 Join them together into one stick so that they will become one in your hand.

18 “When your people ask you, ‘Won’t you tell us what you mean by this?’ 19 say to them, ‘This is what the Sovereign Lord says: I am going to take the stick of Joseph—which is in Ephraim’s hand—and of the Israelite tribes associated with him, and join it to Judah’s stick. I will make them into a single stick of wood, and they will become one in my hand.’ 20 Hold before their eyes the sticks you have written on 21 and say to them, ‘This is what the Sovereign Lord says: I will take the Israelites out of the nations where they have gone. I will gather them from all around and bring them back into their own land. 22 I will make them one nation in the land, on the mountains of Israel. There will be one king over all of them and they will never again be two nations or be divided into two kingdoms. 23 They will no longer defile themselves with their idols and vile images or with any of their offenses, for I will save them from all their sinful backsliding, and I will cleanse them. They will be my people, and I will be their God.”

Hey, World, do you see that the Lord holds two sticks in his hand before the entire world?  Did the stronger of the sticks help Israel in these fulfillment of prophesy?

Invincible God of Israel

Why can’t all those who have tried overcome Israel?  Because the God of all comfort is God.  Jesus, the Christ transforms and inspires the masses and their leaders into action here a king as Cyrus.  Glory to your name Lord.  I want you to have your glory.

It does not matter if I am a Zionist.  Because God is a Zionist.

  1. C.N Thank you for your comment. Yes my view tells me we are drifting at the end of days. Jesus said to “Keep Watch” Many have become the scoffers Peter and Paul tell us about. The Lord spoke of Israel being surrounded. Of course this happened in 70 A.D., however, Israel is in the land, prospering unafraid just as Ezekiel revealed. Look at my posts beginning June 7, 2020 for the stated word problems of God. He foretold we’d be coming along to reveal the mysterious content in Daniel’s scrolls. He led me to these as Jesus said, “let the reader understand” in Matthew 24. He speaks there of the catching away also. Also in John 11: 23-27: Jesus said to her, “Your brother will rise again.”

24 Martha answered, “I know he will rise again in the resurrection at the last day.”

25 Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die; 26 and whoever lives by believing in me will never die. Do you believe this?”

27 “Yes, Lord,” she replied, “I believe that you are the Messiah, the Son of God, who is to come into the world.” This is why he said “keep watch.”

My goals are to strengthen those who believe. Then to lead many to righteousness as prophesied. Daniel 12: 3, 4; 12: 9-13. Chris.

  2. Thank you so much for this enlightening and desperately needed post, Chris. As a devout Christian, I fully believe that we are living in the end times (we are in the Beginning of Sorrows, to be specific). Though I do not believe that God brought about this pandemic (he has certainly allowed it, though), he is using it to send a message to this entire world: it’s time to repent and turn away from our sins, truly believe in the Gospel of Jesus Christ, give our lives over to Jesus Christ, and follow him the rest of our days, that we will not perish, but have everlasting life. This entire world, America in particular, had become too comfortable; God does not have time for complacent, comfortable, casual, lukewarm Christians (he will spew them out of his mouth)-we must pick a side, be on fire for that side, and be prepared to face the consequences of our actions. God has certainly been with the Israelites throughout history (Moses leading them out of slavery, Joshua helping them to defeat the Canaanites at the Battle of Jericho, etc.), and he is not going to allow Satan’s minions to destroy his people.

While Israel has been hated all of these years for their faith and connections to the true living God, and while the anti-Christ will deceptively make a pact with Israel (just to flip the switch on them), God is going to take care of his people, and punish all oppressors (thank you, Jesus!). Vengeance is the Lord’s, and we can have comfort in knowing that God, through the blood of Jesus Christ, is on our side. Great read! God bless you!
