Misquoting Calculus –

Evangelism is about making people aware of their need for the Lord and his real power in salvation. The Holy Spirit must meet a person on his turf with the invitation to the Wedding Supper of the Lamb.

Misquoting Calculus What Isaac Newton Tried To Tell Bart Ehrman is such an invitation. A couple days ago I wrote on the evidence God provided Israel in the Exodus.  He did not whisper to Moses in a seminary and have Mo declare to people he expected to come by blind faith, cause Mo said so.

I’m aware that is how the early church grew.  Now, however, we deal with preconceived notions people hold from all the Jesus noise in our culture.  We have a myriad of dogmas from a cornucopia of seminaries RIGHTLY DIVIDING THE BODY OF CHRIS.

 

Don’t like the dogma on this station turn to the next and get a new dogmatic take.  This is hard requiring many degrees to understand?

Jesus born of a virgin grew to be a man and performed many miracles all prophesied such that John the Baptist sent his disciples to witness first hand, Jesus performing the miracle foretold.

Evidence.  HERE!  So when God the Father said this to Isaiah at 46:

“Remember the former things, those of long ago;
    I am God, and there is no other;
    I am God, and there is none like me.
¹⁰ I make known the end from the beginning,
    from ancient times, what is still to come.
I say, ‘My purpose will stand,
    and I will do all that I please.’” (NIV)

He is boasting before the creation and this is his Glory.  I want him to have his glory because I am his own child through Jesus my Lord and savior.  Do many of the rest of you care?  Laodicea:

“I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot. I wish you were either one or the other! ¹⁶ So, because you are lukewarm—neither hot nor cold—I am about to spit you out of my mouth. ¹⁷ You say, ‘I am rich; I have acquired wealth and do not need a thing.’ But you do not realize that you are wretched, pitiful, poor, blind and naked. ¹⁸ I counsel you to buy from me gold refined in the fire, so you can become rich; and white clothes to wear, so you can cover your shameful nakedness; and salve to put on your eyes, so you can see.

¹⁹ Those whom I love I rebuke and discipline. So be earnest and repent. ²⁰ Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with that person, and they with me.

²¹ To the one who is victorious, I will give the right to sit with me on my throne, just as I was victorious and sat down with my Father on his throne. ²² Whoever has ears, let them hear what the Spirit says to the churches.” (NIV)
