The list of less than brilliant preachers grows. Heard a famed preacher whose teachings I otherwise respect mishandling Romans 13. Here it is from the NIV:
“Submission to Governing Authorities
13 Let everyone be subject to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by God. 2 Consequently, whoever rebels against the authority is rebelling against what God has instituted, and those who do so will bring judgment on themselves. 3 For rulers hold no terror for those who do right, but for those who do wrong. Do you want to be free from fear of the one in authority? Then do what is right and you will be commended. 4 For the one in authority is God’s servant for your good. But if you do wrong, be afraid, for rulers do not bear the sword for no reason. They are God’s servants, agents of wrath to bring punishment on the wrongdoer. 5 Therefore, it is necessary to submit to the authorities, not only because of possible punishment but also as a matter of conscience.
6 This is also why you pay taxes, for the authorities are God’s servants, who give their full time to governing. 7 Give to everyone what you owe them: If you owe taxes, pay taxes; if revenue, then revenue; if respect, then respect; if honor, then honor.
Love Fulfills the Law
8 Let no debt remain outstanding, except the continuing debt to love one another, for whoever loves others has fulfilled the law. 9 The commandments, “You shall not commit adultery,” “You shall not murder,” “You shall not steal,” “You shall not covet,”[a] and whatever other command there may be, are summed up in this one command: “Love your neighbor as yourself.”[b] 10 Love does no harm to a neighbor. Therefore love is the fulfillment of the law.
The Day Is Near
11 And do this, understanding the present time: The hour has already come for you to wake up from your slumber, because our salvation is nearer now than when we first believed. 12 The night is nearly over; the day is almost here. So let us put aside the deeds of darkness and put on the armor of light. 13 Let us behave decently, as in the daytime, not in carousing and drunkenness, not in sexual immorality and debauchery, not in dissension and jealousy. 14 Rather, clothe yourselves with the Lord Jesus Christ, and do not think about how to gratify the desires of the flesh.” (NIV)
I agree wholeheartedly.
However, there is a blatant misunderstanding in the United States today. God indeed instituted authority.
“We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.”
That is where God placed the authority here by his choice. I heard a Vineyard preacher making light of all of this in his liberal misunderstandings. Guffawing “here all people do is talk about their rights.” This in his ridiculing sermon about “giving up our rights” as allegedly required in his misapplication of “deny yourself, pick up your cross and follow me.”
This idea comes from the faulty human idea that Jesus gave up all of his rights and we should do likewise. I boldly assert this IS complete anathema. Jesus asserted his rights like no one ever asserted his rights.
Proof is seen in his right to take up his life on the third day. He purchased (“redeemed”) people from all nations and tribes as stated in Revelation 5:
“Then I saw a Lamb, looking as if it had been slain, standing at the center of the throne, encircled by the four living creatures and the elders. The Lamb had seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven spirits of God sent out into all the earth. 7 He went and took the scroll from the right hand of him who sat on the throne. 8 And when he had taken it, the four living creatures and the twenty-four elders fell down before the Lamb. Each one had a harp and they were holding golden bowls full of incense, which are the prayers of God’s people. 9 And they sang a new song, saying:
“You are worthy to take the scroll
and to open its seals,
because you were slain,
and with your blood you purchased for God
persons from every tribe and language and people and nation.
10 You have made them to be a kingdom and priests to serve our God,
and they will reign[b] on the earth.”
11 Then I looked and heard the voice of many angels, numbering thousands upon thousands, and ten thousand times ten thousand. They encircled the throne and the living creatures and the elders. 12 In a loud voice they were saying:
“Worthy is the Lamb, who was slain,
to receive power and wealth and wisdom and strength
and honor and glory and praise!”
13 Then I heard every creature in heaven and on earth and under the earth and on the sea, and all that is in them, saying:
“To him who sits on the throne and to the Lamb
be praise and honor and glory and power,
for ever and ever!”
14 The four living creatures said, “Amen,” and the elders fell down and worshiped.” (NIV)
That scroll is the deed to the earth, no longer in Satan’s possession and his servants are doomed. The eviction proceeds.
In Revelation 19 we see the ultimate assertion of Jesus’ rights:
11 I saw heaven standing open and there before me was a white horse, whose rider is called Faithful and True. With justice he judges and wages war. 12 His eyes are like blazing fire, and on his head are many crowns. He has a name written on him that no one knows but he himself. 13 He is dressed in a robe dipped in blood, and his name is the Word of God. 14 The armies of heaven were following him, riding on white horses and dressed in fine linen, white and clean. 15 Coming out of his mouth is a sharp sword with which to strike down the nations. “He will rule them with an iron scepter.”[a] He treads the winepress of the fury of the wrath of God Almighty. 16 On his robe and on his thigh he has this name written:
king of kings and lord of lords.
17 And I saw an angel standing in the sun, who cried in a loud voice to all the birds flying in midair, “Come, gather together for the great supper of God, 18 so that you may eat the flesh of kings, generals, and the mighty, of horses and their riders, and the flesh of all people, free and slave, great and small.”
19 Then I saw the beast and the kings of the earth and their armies gathered together to wage war against the rider on the horse and his army. 20 But the beast was captured, and with it the false prophet who had performed the signs on its behalf. With these signs he had deluded those who had received the mark of the beast and worshiped its image. The two of them were thrown alive into the fiery lake of burning sulfur. 21 The rest were killed with the sword coming out of the mouth of the rider on the horse, and all the birds gorged themselves on their flesh. (NIV)
Our day features a confusion of the sexes for school children, organs harvested from living people, politicians have encouraged lawlessness, looting, destruction of people’s businesses and chaos in the streets. It is alleged that the political party responsible for this encouragement were given the keys to the free world in the last election.
Mike Lindell, the pillow guy, is holding a symposium on August 10-11-12 on his channel frankspeech.com wherein he is presenting the facts that this political party in cooperation with the CCP (Chinese Communist Party) computer hacked the recent 2020 election flipping votes from one candidate to the other in order to unlawfully usurp the authority of “WE THE PEOPLE.”
CISSP credentialed computer warfare soldiers have assured Mike Lindell that these packet captures are actual recorded data (Trillions of bits) and are non-editable objective evidence. Mr. Lindell to show the strength of his evidence has published his offer to the entire world for any who show up in Sioux Falls South Dakota accompanied by CISSP credentialed expert who can prove his data as other than the actual election “fraud” data $ 5,000,000.
As a mathematics investigator (BSME) I am looking forward to the show, as they say.
So how did we get here? We are nearing cultural state like unto the “Days of Noah” as Jesus said things would be. The Constitution, highest law in the United States says unequivocally “The State Legislatures set the rules for elections in their states.”
Currently we are witnessing the US Department of Justice beginning the suing of states for the Senates thereof for investigating their own elections. It is ultra-vires meaning the government (i.e. US DOJ) has not jurisdiction in these regards.
So capitulation here, Mr. Preacher, is itself looking the other way while the rights of “We The People” are violated. That is hardly “loving your neighbor as yourself.”
Paul, as the ONLY apostle ordained by Jesus to reveal his name to Gentiles was a Roman Citizen born in the city of Tarsus and raised at the feet of Gamaliel, the greatest Jewish teacher of his day.
Paul, as a Roman Citizen had rights which he asserted most prominently Acts 16: 37:
“But Paul said to the officers: “They beat us publicly without a trial, even though we are Roman citizens, and threw us into prison. And now do they want to get rid of us quietly? No! Let them come themselves and escort us out.” (NIV)
Also in Acts 22: 25:
“As they stretched him out to flog him, Paul said to the centurion standing there, “Is it legal for you to flog a Roman citizen who hasn’t even been found guilty?” (NIV)
The Jews were planning Paul’s murder on the way to Jerusalem and petitioned Festus (Roman Governor of Judea) to have Paul brought to Jerusalem for trial. Festus wanted to ingratiate himself to the Jewish rulers seeking their allegiance.
Paul as a Roman Citizen had the right to be tried before Roman courts. Paul outwitted them once again also fulfilling the prophecy that he would go and preach to the highest Gentile rulers in Rome. We find the narrative in Acts 25:
“Three days after arriving in the province, Festus went up from Caesarea to Jerusalem, 2 where the chief priests and the Jewish leaders appeared before him and presented the charges against Paul. 3 They requested Festus, as a favor to them, to have Paul transferred to Jerusalem, for they were preparing an ambush to kill him along the way. 4 Festus answered, “Paul is being held at Caesarea, and I myself am going there soon. 5 Let some of your leaders come with me, and if the man has done anything wrong, they can press charges against him there.”
6 After spending eight or ten days with them, Festus went down to Caesarea. The next day he convened the court and ordered that Paul be brought before him. 7 When Paul came in, the Jews who had come down from Jerusalem stood around him. They brought many serious charges against him, but they could not prove them.
8 Then Paul made his defense: “I have done nothing wrong against the Jewish law or against the temple or against Caesar.”
9 Festus, wishing to do the Jews a favor, said to Paul, “Are you willing to go up to Jerusalem and stand trial before me there on these charges?”
10 Paul answered: “I am now standing before Caesar’s court, where I ought to be tried. I have not done any wrong to the Jews, as you yourself know very well. 11 If, however, I am guilty of doing anything deserving death, I do not refuse to die. But if the charges brought against me by these Jews are not true, no one has the right to hand me over to them. I appeal to Caesar!”
12 After Festus had conferred with his council, he declared: “You have appealed to Caesar. To Caesar you will go!” (NIV)
So Paul went to Rome and ended up on house arrest preaching the gospel to the leaders there. Eventually he was martyred there. “Chains being the fit arraignment of saints” per Polycarp, also martyred.
But not our preachers. They hide in the light from the Johnson Amendment none of them to my knowledge having ever resisted the Unconstitutional alleged authority of that ridiculous law. Instead they misuse the word of God (swearing is a minor misuse) to preach “We The People” and the citizens of heaven must “Obey The Authorities.” The tax exempt status is what they seek to protect. Jesus at John 6: 19-24:
“Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moths and vermin destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. 20 But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moths and vermin do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. 21 For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.
22 “The eye is the lamp of the body. If your eyes are healthy,[c] your whole body will be full of light. 23 But if your eyes are unhealthy,[d] your whole body will be full of darkness. If then the light within you is darkness, how great is that darkness!
24 “No one can serve two masters. Either you will hate the one and love the other, or you will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money.
The preacher on the radio yesterday went so far as to say resisting them is “rebellion against God.” (NIV)
Nonsense. In World War II an Axis of Demonic Evil overtook Europe while preachers and priests there sought to appease the enemies of mankind and the enemies of God. In the end their appeasement brought imprisonment to an entire continent and in the end Asia also.
Today the University of Pennsylvania is involved in harvesting organs from fetuses up to 42 weeks of gestation (that’s full term) and it is supported by your tax dollars. In China living human beings are taken by force to the hospital and their organs are removed including hearts, lungs livers etc. Yes they die. Let’s look at Revelation 18:
“‘Woe! Woe to you, great city,
you mighty city of Babylon!
In one hour your doom has come!’
11 “The merchants of the earth will weep and mourn over her because no one buys their cargoes anymore— 12 cargoes of gold, silver, precious stones and pearls; fine linen, purple, silk and scarlet cloth; every sort of citron wood, and articles of every kind made of ivory, costly wood, bronze, iron and marble; 13 cargoes of cinnamon and spice, of incense, myrrh and frankincense, of wine and olive oil, of fine flour and wheat; cattle and sheep; horses and carriages; and human beings sold as slaves.” (NIV)
Some are made to do work in factories, others to produce crops of food and others to give up their lives for the benefit of their useful idiot darwinianist masters. Random collections of cells and chemistry created by a strong wind that blew through an unexplained lump of mass and assembled the Saturn V spontaneously.
No moral underpinnings whatsoever! Completely convinced that whatever they do to their fellows is fine with evolution. So where are the Christian Universities on the cutting edge of science (actual science) resisting the whirlpool of moral destruction disaster?
I foretold all that you see in our country in letters to Nazarene and other leaders telling them that: 1) Police and Courts are corrupt; 2) Further they were being further corrupted by the drug laws as Multi Billion Dollar cartels were fed by the drug laws and the exorbitant prices created by the benefactor police organizations; 3) US Citizens were living on borrowed time in an artificial world which could end at the whim of an out of control oversized intrusive government; 4) You cannot maintain liberty and the institutions of our republic minus integrity in those institutions; 5) The police you screamed more and more for in your “jumping up and down screaming for law and order” will be the ones escorting you to the rail cars of the coming holocaust; 6) They want your DNA for the single purpose of matching up your organs for unwilling donation, any of them they choose whether you live or not. China has Billion Dollar industry in stolen organs produced through murder.
New York! “The city of power.” Babylon the Great financial and commerce and world government center. “Your Merchants were the world’s great men. Rockefeller, Rothschild, Morgan, Du Pont etc., all brokered for the last seventy five years from New York primarily.
Woe, Woe O great City. When the merchants of the earth see the smoke of her burning …. .”
If you want to know what is going on today you need to turn off CNN, FOX NBC etc. Real America’s Voice News and most particularly “War Room, Pandemic” with Steve Bannon who brings in culture and real evidenced news people with their evidence from diverse sources. Not the soundbite garbage the mainstream media produce.
Meanwhile the Luke Warm Church accomplishes keeping their heads down. That is why Jesus is about to vomit.
Did you listen? You did not. Lord you showed them a sign and in the end they only persecuted the messenger all the more. That is what you said they do.
Pray this believing the God of Creation hears you:
“And when you pray, do not be like the hypocrites, for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the street corners to be seen by others. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward in full. 6 But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you. 7 And when you pray, do not keep on babbling like pagans, for they think they will be heard because of their many words. 8 Do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask him.
9 “This, then, is how you should pray:
“‘Our Father in heaven,
hallowed be your name,
10 your kingdom come,
your will be done,
on earth as it is in heaven.
11 Give us today our daily bread.
12 And forgive us our debts,
as we also have forgiven our debtors.
13 And lead us not into temptation,[a]
but deliver us from the evil one.[b]’
14 For if you forgive other people when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. 15 But if you do not forgive others their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins.
Romans 10: 9, 10:
“But what does it say? “The word is near you; it is in your mouth and in your heart,” that is, the message concerning faith that we proclaim: 9 If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved. 11 As Scripture says, “Anyone who believes in him will never be put to shame.” 12 For there is no difference between Jew and Gentile—the same Lord is Lord of all and richly blesses all who call on him, 13 for, “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” (NIV)
